Day 4: Saturday, October 12, 2024

 Visit to the Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Mall of Asia, and Moving to New Dorm

    At the fourth day in the Philippines, we woke up at Prince Hotel since we (the girls) stayed up with our vice dean in her hotel room last night. After that, by 7 AM, we went back to our dorm by feet. We also had an appointment to meet the president of PNU, which was President Bert in the morning. We were asked to be ready by 9 AM and PNU staff would pick up us at Santa Isabel dorm. Oh, we also packed our things into our luggage and bags because in this day, we were going to move to the new dorm, which was PNU hostel. At 9 AM, we were picked up by the staff and he dropped us at PNU. There, we met Prof. Vicky and Prof. Dhana. We went to the president room together and met the president. We introduced ourselves each other to the president and had a little talk about the SEA Teacher program. After that, we took some photos at PNU with our vice dean. Then, we went to one of the historical monuments in Manila. It was the fort of Santiago in Intramuros. It was a large and old place. We took many photos there. We also bought dirty ice cream there. The price was 50 peso. I bought the cheese flavor one. It was good because Manila was a hot place, so it made my throat fresh :). After exploring it, we had our lunch at KFC. We ordered chicken, rice, and french fries. After eating, we went back to Santa Isabel dorm to take our luggages and bags that we had packed before going out. Then, we went to the big mall in there. It was Mall of Asia. In there, we saw the beautiful view of the sea from the outdoor of the mall. An hour and a half later, we accompanied our vice dean to go to the airport because she would like to go back to Indonesia. Then, we went to PNU hostel. The city had severe traffic, so it took us a long time to arrive at PNU hostel. When we arrived at the hostel, we went to our room. It was really better than our previous dorm. We were really happy knowing the facilities that we got. In a room, there would be 2 people inside. So, I was in a room with Faiza. After that, we prayed and we went to SM Mall again to have our dinner. We had our dinner at Jollibee. It was nice. After that, we went back to the hostel, took a bath, and went to bed.
